AITO is a fairly new brand that was founded in 2021 by Huawei and the Seres Group. This brand focuses on high-end range extenders (EREV) and battery electric (BEV) vehicles.
Currently, AITO offers a few models. These include the M5, M7, and M9. And the M8 will come in the near future as well. AITO is constantly expanding its lineup with new vehicles that offer some of the best features in the EV industry.
AITO M7 is a model that captivates you with its exterior design. This model looks stunning both inside and out. It implements the latest design language that is focused primarily on aero and squeezing every bit of range possible. Since it is a midsize SUV, it is pretty large and this gives it a good presence on the road.
The interior of the AITO M7 is all about technology. This model implements the latest Huawei technologies that Huawei offers right now. This means that you have a whole ecosystem that you basically want to be a part of. There are massive screens that run on the latest Harmony OS and the usage is incredible. Everything runs on powerful Huawei Kirin chips that are blazing fast.
One major highlight of the AITO M7 is the intelligent space that this model offers. This is a proper luxury midsize SUV that is also extremely practical. The AITO M7 is a range extender. For those who are not familiar, the range extender is a type of a plug-in hybrid that uses the ICE as a generator of electricity. Then this ICE charges the battery of the AITO M7. So, with this model, you will never have to worry about charging the battery. You just fill up the fuel tank at your local gas station and you can enjoy an excellent range.
One big highlight of the M7 is its battery system. This model implements a 40 kWh battery pack that is extremely light. This allowed AITO to install a ton of other features without jeopardizing the weight of the model. 40 kWh is more than enough for EREV models because these vehicles are range extenders and they don’t need a 100 kWh battery pack.
Another very important highlight of the AITO M7 model is the long lasting range that the AITO M7 delivers. With a full tank of gas and a full battery, you will be able to get up to 1,100 km of range. Which is a pretty incredible number. While only in EV mode, you will be able to get up to 150 km of range.
When buying such a model, safety should be one of your top concerns. You need a car that is very safe and will protect you in mishaps on the roads. Luckily, the AITO M7 was tested by the C-IASI and scored G on all of their tests. G is basically the highest score overall.
