The all-electric Dacia Spring will win you over not only with its contemporary design but also with its energetic urban look. Higher ground clearance, wide wheel arches, and robust silhouette give this compact car an SUV-like appearance that is both aggressive and sporty.
The front end is dominated by a sleek hood, narrow headlights, and a large bumper, while the rear part conquers with its dynamics achieved by Y-shaped taillights and a roof spoiler that extends onto the tailgate.
Other notable details include practical roof supports, protective underbody panels, and Flexwheel wheel covers that mimic the appearance of aluminum rims. And if you want to highlight your energetic personality even more, there is an orange personalization package.
On the inside, the Dacia Spring’s quiet interior exudes comfort and style while pleasuring with carefree, 100% electric driving. The instrument panel is clean and simplified so you can check all vital information at a glance. Next to your right knee, the classic shift lever has given way to a chrome rotary knob, which you’ll use to select drive, reverse, or neutral.
Lastly, there are all the comfort features you’d expect to find in a modern car, including power steering, air conditioning, and power windows, both front and rear.
As a driver, you’ll have several features to help your daily trips, including an intuitive 7-inch multimedia screen with an optional rear-view camera, voice command, and a parking assistant to make squeezing into cramped parking spaces easier. Furthermore, having an in-built speed limiter at your disposal will keep you from getting any speeding tickets.
The all-electric Dacia Sprind doesn’t fall short even when it comes to trends in digital connectivity. For instance, that 7-inch touchscreen gives you easy access to the stereo system and navigation, while you can also connect your smartphone through the Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™ system.

Another aspect in which Dacia Spring fares well is charging time, essential for any EV that serves as a daily runabout. You can leave it plugged into a household socket and get it fully charged in approximately 20 hours.
Or, if you’re in a rush, a fast DC charger can get you an 80-percent charge in half an hour. That’s ideal if you’re charging it on a public charger while running some errands in a busy town center.
Times when small city cars didn’t have much to offer in terms of safety are long behind us, and Dacia Spring is one of the proofs of this. This car is loaded with accident-prevention features like ESP, automated emergency braking, and self-dipping headlights.
And if all this doesn’t help, and there is a crash, a sturdy body shell and series of airbags will keep everybody inside the car safe.
Import duties vary greatly depending on the country you live in and its taxes. However, many countries encourage drivers to buy electric cars by offering low tax rates or eliminating them whatsoever. Even more, you may get a generous subsidy from the government for such vehicles, which makes them even cheaper.
Both these EVs target the same market segment – small 5-door city cars that can transport up to five persons. Besides the similarities in size and overall shape, they are both front-wheel drive, although the BYD’s model is more powerful. But, on the other hand, Dacia Spring has won the “The Best Buy Car of Europe in 2022” title, which surely means a lot.
The real-world range, as it usually does, depends on two crucial factors – battery capacity and driving conditions. The Dacia Spring comes with either a 31 kWh battery – which is good for up to 230 kilometers – or a more powerful one, which holds 39 kWh of charge and can offer 30 kilometers of range.
As standard, Dacia Spring is available with a 31 kWh battery pack, with a more powerful 39 kWh being an option in a version with a 75 kW motor. But despite the difference in capacity, both batteries are made using so-called Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) technology.
Safety, both active and passive, is one of the pillars on which Dacia designed its bestseller EV. This, among other things, includes the Electronic Stability Program, Automated Emergency Braking, and airbags covering all angles inside the car.
